Loss comes in many forms and affects everyone differently.
Your story is unique.
As a specialist grief and loss counsellor, my role is to guide you gently, so you feel able to cope again, in an individualised, solution-focused approach. Many well-meaning friends may expect you to ‘recover’; however, experiencing loss is not an illness, but something we will all go through at some point in our lives.
You, and only you, know how you feel and, more importantly, how you want to feel.
Sadness may have infiltrated every part of your life, but you can change what it has done to you. That time was not lost or wasted, it can be processed with a new perspective.
Now is the moment to say yes, to be brave and commit fully to yourself, because until you do no one else will. Now is the time to be vulnerable, unfolding delicately yet fully into the space in which you find yourself. I will help you to reframe your loss and process the pain of the past, while learning to reconnect with yourself.
Together we will go through lessons that integrate insights and practices from neuroscience with other biological, psychological, and spiritual aspects of trauma to find what you need, whether it is forgiveness, cleansing yourself of guilt, removing shame, unlocking numbness, or whatever you may be experiencing.
Each of our sessions together will facilitate your personal recovery at your own pace as you heal on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level.
We'll work together to help you process your experiences, creating space for a future that honours what has passed, while empowering you with the tools, clarity and strength to step towards joy.
How to choose the right way to access counselling for you or your family
Having been bereaved, and seen my children through bereavement, I know how difficult it can be at moments of intense loss to navigate the process of reaching out for therapeutic support.
To make it easier to find a fit that works for you and your family, I offer three ways to access counselling: from the comfort of your own home, online, or on a walk around the beautiful countryside of Gloucestershire. If you're not sure which solution is right for you or need to mix and match - maybe you'd prefer to meet online one week and in person another week - that's fine, let's be flexible. Counselling is all about what works best for you.
